My Milan Fashion Week Lemming
Yes, it is Milano fashion week. No, I haven't covered any of it... yet.
But when checking out Style.com, I ran across Blumarine's eye-catching slip dress. The lace detail around the edges and the fluidity of the material turns my eyes into saucers.
Natasha Poly was first on the runway with a yellow one but the colors that caught my eye were the lavendar and the fuschia worn by Isabeli Fontana.
Now would Iwhere this as a dress? Not in public. But its so beautiful- I just had to share with you.

Welcome Back Shu!
Shu Uemura has returned to Sephora!
Well..at least to Sephora.com.
Th cult classic Shu Uemura Eyelash curler is back too! And they are introducing us to some other goodies.
Gloss Lacquer looks promising, I can't wait to try the fucshia to see the color pay off.
What I'm really hoping to try is the Deep Sea Water. When Shu was at my local Sephora in Fashion Valley they had these. I tried it on my hand and walked out the store. I figured.. this was useless but I was wrong. It moisturized my hand surprisingly so I'm anxious to try it again.

Lacroix's Going To Paris
That's right! I'll be in the City of Lights just in time for Fashion Week this year. Starting October 2nd I will be in Paris.
I'll be giving you the latest on Fashion and Beauty while away. Gearing up for my trip has been a challenge, the last time I went to Europe, I was at least allowed to bring some bottled water. Now I'm struggling with what to bring and what to buy when I get to my destination. Should I buy my Caudalie here or there?

Cavalli for H&M- November 8th
Get ready to mow someone down...j/k of course.
Cavalli for H&M would be perfect for all of you show stopping partyers that will parlay during the holidays.
Expect lots of leopard print, metallics, golds, pinks and silvers. Also expect the line to enter the store to be out the door and around the block.
Last year I participated in the Viktor and Rolf for H&M opening at the Beverly Center. It was one of the best experiences ever! I don't know if I will be hanging out of the store this year for Cavalli.. though I need a nice b-day and holiday dress..hmm.

30% off Simply Vera for Kohls
"Simply Vera is already 30% off on the Kohls website, and it hasn't even been out for ten days".- Fashionista.com
Is this all sorts of wrong?
Or is it all sorts of right?
Upon hearing about the Kohl's and Vera collabo, I knew it was too good to be true. But then I checked out the line and it was. Why was I going to buy a Metallic skirt for $98?
Simply ridiculous

Temperley for Target is here!!
Rest assured, this collection will have a piece (or two) for you.
After the highly anticipated and major disappointment of the Libertine collection, Temperley set my mind at ease.
I love the Edwardian feel, the ruffled collars that are a throw back to the Prince circa "1999" era, and the wearability. The color palette for the clothes are just what the fall needs. Black, Grey, Navy with touches of Fuschia, Yellow and Peach.
Since the store closest to my place manages to get a lot of the dresses from the Go collection, I decided to hit it up first and managed to snag a Black dress short-sleeve dress with a ruffle front for $30 and a Black and White Leaf sweater for $30 as well.
Snap this stuff up, Temperley for Target will be as in demand as Proenza Schouler was!

Heatherette NY Fashion Week Spring '08
Dearest Traver and Richie,
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. For you have made my little heart a-flutter, here is why:
Thank you for having 10..not a token , not 3 but 10 women of color open your Spring '08 show. This made me feel valued as a consumer ( because I will continue to buy your clothes), as a woman ( did I mention that your clothes are phenom?) and as a young person.. why? because while some shows are upper crust snob where you crack a smile and its shunned- you displayed youth and happiness in fashion.
ps. it was nice to see Omahayra in your show too ;)
Many Thanks,
Lacroix
Anna Sui - NY Fashion Week Spring '08
It's about time NY fashion week has had fun.
Yes, yes I adore the bold lip and the muted nude that every other designer so happliy displayed, which reminds me to inquire about MAC's 4N and N3 lip color they have been using to achieve the "nude" lip.
Back on track.. I'm in love with Anna Sui's look. Thanks to Pat McGrath and Hairstylist Gerren, the models look engaging and I want to look like that... in reality I can- On my birthday :)
The Ziggy Stardust meets Party Monster feel tuned me in and the Blue Glitter eye liner is the icing on the cake, While the colorful "Manic Panic" wigs are the raspberry filling to my chocolate cake. While visiting Style.com and WWD.com and browsing I began to ponder.. If Anna Sui's collection and look is the party, what did Heatherette do this season and Where can I find Anna Sui's Makeup line in the states?

Goldie's Alice in Wonderland palette
I start being more attentive to Goldie's Alice and Wonderland collection towards the end of last year. Since Bath and Body Works no longer carries cosmetics ( At least at the stores near me), I started shopping for great deals on-line and "click"ed onto Goldie.
I think the Alice in Wonderland concept is adorable, but not in the Hello Kitty way. Moreso you are exiting adolesence and graduating from Bonnebell to Clinique. But this is so entirely cute, its not embarrasing enough to not whip out and show while touching up. Since the palette on the website says it suits all skin tones, I'm tempted to try the "A" palette since it seems warmer than the other. But this was a refreshing surprise, I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Badgley Mischka- NY Fashion Week Spring '08
My fashion week coverage has been dismal I must say. Maybe it's because I haven't found anything striking. But I did come across a surprise for Spring- Badgley Mischka.
The collection is reminiscent of a summer in Capri or somewhere on the Mediterranean but the look includes that bold lip that has captured me from Proenza Schouler's Spring '07 runway show... but only better. While PS's Look was 60's surfer with the zinc-ish lips, BM comes full bloom with a fresh Fuschia color that looks to flatter all skin tones. The look over all is minimal with touches of Mascara on the top lashes and spring rosy cheeks.
Tom Pecheux was the Makeup Artist at large and the lipcolor was courtesy of MAC Cosmetics. On Macpro.com, it states that they hope that MAC "will package it this spring so we can all get that strong pink mouth that looks great with almost no other makeup". Hmm.. could Badgley Mischka for MAC be on the horizon??

The Look of LAMB- NY Fashion week Spring '08
NY fashion week kicked off yesterday and a few faves marched down the runway. Rag and Bone and LAMB. But what I like the most is the "look" of the models. Heather Marks looks gorgeous! The Sixties is definately making a return for the Spring and so is the heavy eyeliner.
Let's see what NY Fashion week has to offer us.
Oh, must I make my announcement now... no. it's far too early. I've got 25 days to go. But sometime between then and now.. you will know ;).
