Disney's TRON Dream Designer Collaboration

TRON is getting in on the designer collaboration buzz before the film releases in December. Not bad considering this is one of the most anticipated sequels since the StarWars franchise.
The TRON accessories collections boasts sleek futuristic designs with the TRON signature black and teal green from the likes of Hayden-Harnett (handbag pictured), Rotenier ( necklace pictured) and Derez Earrings (pictured).
If you are located in Los Angeles, you are in luck! A pop-up shop will launch in November.
I can't wait to see these items in person, but until then, we will have to wait until next month.
Additionally, I can't wait to hear the soundtrack as Daft Punk scored the films music.

Opening Ceremony x Where The Wild Things Are

In anticipation of the new Spike Jones film, with a soundtrack that includes the Arcade Fire and Karen O from the "Yeah Yeah Yeah's" comes Opening Ceremony's clothing and jewelry collaboration.
In September's W magazine they profiled Pamela Love's Where The Wild Things Are charm bracelet complete with claws and traps made exclusively for Opening Ceremony as well as hinting that Mr. Jones himself would be creating pieces for this outfit.
I think the hoodies and dresses capture fall fantasy and are definately wearable. Plus I like that fact that there are his and her gear ( I imagined it would only be for boys but happened to see the pics on Opening Ceremony and was refreshed).
I love the OCx WTWTA collab, the Max suit reminds me of the brother when he was 5. Coincidentally, today is his birthday! Happy Birthday Aaron!

Gunmetal Talon Knucklebuster

Jewelry for me has been a journey, I'm really picky plus I like a bit of edge i.e bone casting, twisted metal but with an earthy feel and an everyday appeal ( I want to wear it to work you know). I found Made Her Think's Gunmetal Talon Knucklebuster at Save Fashion last month at the Port Authority and immediately Anna said "it's so you" and I concur. Being that dazzling up my wardrobe is such a rarity, I wondered how I can pull off a ring like this?

Upon me purchasing the ring, I just missed the creator of the brand Meredith Kahn but I had to reach for the talon ring in all its Swavarski Crystaled glory and I love wearing it. It instantly dresses up my blah t-shirt and jeans routine on the weekend or my happy hour attire at 5:30pm.

From what I know, Meredith is a Brooklyn based designer whose Gunmetal Talon ring has been on some celebs- Rhianna being one. Her site is a amazing to say the least. The film is pure art, its hauntingly refreshing and piques my curiosity of what's to come next. So far, a collection is inspired by Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.

Pre working for a jewelry designer last year, I had no clue what into the hard work and creativity we experience, a true craft. I didn't even own any piece except for my trusty Fleur de Lis earrings that I picked up from Forever 21-that seems to have outlasted every piece of anything I have bought there.

Loving the LOFT!

I was recently gifted a new Ann Taylor LOFT beautiful blue-cerulean bobble necklace that I just had to share. Excitement hit me because it didn't dawn on me that I haven't covered jewelry yet on this blog.
Well, welcome new jewelry post!
See as I'm evolving ( albeit, slowly) out of my t-shirt and jeans, laid back SoCal nature to something more statement oriented, I though that this piece was a great way to start!
It worked well last saturday when I shot the necklace against my black tank and I can't wait to mix it with more pieces.

You can get this necklace as part of Ann Taylor LOFT's summer accessory collection currently available in stores.
