Fab Fuchsia Fun with L'Oreal Color Riche Caresse 173
I think that I've successfully found the THE lip product consistency that I have been looking for for like.. EVER! While hitting up my Target this week, I discovered an almost bare L'Oreal Color Riche (or Caresse) lipstick. The new colors may be an extension to the Color Riche Balm, but the wider range of colors ( vibrant orange and cherry tones) has this ahhmazing consistency, its like buttah. Seriously!
I have had high hopes for other lipcolors when it came to consistency but these take the cake. I picked up #173 Velvety Fuchsia and it wore for at least 2 hours and a cheese burger when I applied 2 swipes with no problem! I really hope that the Rouge Caresse line is a permanent fixture, the display that these lippies were in was demolished! As if there was a memorial day haul in the L'Oreal section and I didn't get the memo!
Anyway, snap these up if you can, I got mine for $7.99 and its going to serve me well for this punchy lip summer.

Jean Paul Gaultier for Target!

I cannot believe this is happening...
The next Target Go International designer will be Jean Paul Gaultier, racked.com spilled the camera phone
You have no idea. JPG did the costumes for 2 of my favorite films, one being La Cite des Enfants Perdus
the other is the Fifth Element. Plus, I know you guys are sick of me talking about wanting one of
those flight attendent suits from the latter.
I'm in serious planning mode, the Target at Atlantic Center- I'm coming for you come March- I'll go to
Jersey City if I have to! From the leaked pics, my priority is the trench coat.
Just to think this morning, I was thinking about needing a new trench- then racked.com lifted my spirits
with these pics.
John Paul Gaultier for Target will launch in March right after Rodarte, I hope that they have a pop-up
shop in time for NY Fashion week because I.can't.wait.
and to leave you with a little something..here is Ruby Rhod!

First Look: McQueen for Target
This past weekend, I previewed the new McQueen for Target Collaboration here in NYC on Saturday, Feb 14th at the pop-up shop on West St.
Though all 44 pieces were not available, the 23 that were were pretty good as far as Target/Designer collabos go.
The quality is beyond what you could ask for with a Target price.
I arrived at 12pm ( 2 + hours later than I expected to be, I was on the hunt for the YSL Manifesto Tote this morn) to different sections of the line spread out in this warehouse, people huddled in corners with their hordes of clothing either trying things on or taking pics of themselves, since there were no mirrors. The line for the dressing room.. was worse than a line at an abusement park- it clocked in at an hour.
I began checking out the racks and they didn't have my size, so I went to the next best thing and started looking for people with my similar body frame and asked them if they had things they didn't want. Surprisingly this was the most effective way!
I walked out with some grey studded jeans ( the inseam is an incredible almost 38 inches for a size 3), the white sleeveless studded dress and the blue tattoo scarf that I lucked out on since all others were sold out.
Favorites I have seen around fashion week sported by NY fashionistas are: the Blue mesh dress, the black tights and grey denim jacket.
McQueen for Target will be available on-line and in select stores starting March 4th.

Alexander McQueen and Target?

From WWD.COM
MCQUEEN ON TARGET’S RADAR?: It looks like Alexander McQueen could be the latest designer name — and one of the most prestigious — to link up with Target’s Go International program, which showcases capsule collections by guest designers. According to industry sources, the British designer is in talks to work on a collection for the Minneapolis-based retailer. A spokeswoman for McQueen declined comment Wednesday.
If the designer does ink a deal with Target, he would join an ever-growing lineup of marquee names who have produced collections for the brand, including Luella Bartley, Alice Temperley, Proenza Schouler and Richard Chai. In addition, Anya Hindmarch and Sigerson Morrison both have collections in the pipeline for the retailer.
While McQueen launched a denim-based diffusion line, called McQ Alexander McQueen, in fall 2006, he’s not yet notched up a collaboration with a mass retailer during his career. As well as his ready-to-wear collection, McQueen designs a footwear collection for Puma and a capsule luggage collection for Samsonite’s Black Label.
Since I'm in recession mode, all my loose change will be devoted to the Coinstar just for this collection..which I will be starting in T-6 minutes.
Additionally, my future MAC purchases with the exception of Manish and Ungaro will be on hold. So yes, that means- No Comme des Garcon for H&M either. McQueen comes first.

Temperley for Target is here!!

Rest assured, this collection will have a piece (or two) for you.
After the highly anticipated and major disappointment of the Libertine collection, Temperley set my mind at ease.
I love the Edwardian feel, the ruffled collars that are a throw back to the Prince circa "1999" era, and the wearability. The color palette for the clothes are just what the fall needs. Black, Grey, Navy with touches of Fuschia, Yellow and Peach.
Since the store closest to my place manages to get a lot of the dresses from the Go collection, I decided to hit it up first and managed to snag a Black dress short-sleeve dress with a ruffle front for $30 and a Black and White Leaf sweater for $30 as well.
Snap this stuff up, Temperley for Target will be as in demand as Proenza Schouler was!

Next!

So I went to check out the Libertine for Target collection and disappointed doesnt cover the extent of my feeling...
Every single item from the collection either had an animal or crazy designed splattered over it or it looked to jovial for functionality.
Though I didn't have my heart set on this one.. September is what I am holding out for- I LOVE TEMPERLEY!!
The countdown has begun...

Libertine for Target: August '07

As part of Target's Go International, next up is Libertine.
Though I wasn't too excited about Patrick Robinson's collection - they grey pants are great. Its my "summer skinny pant" that I can wear confidently with bright shoes or accessories. Black skinny jeans in the summer... maybe for dinner.
I love Libertine's take on Victorian/ School Prep. When I was in Paris last year having some coffee at the Lourve, I distinctly remember a gentleman wearing a jacket that was Libertine. How did I know? Their horse print on the side of the jacket.
I'm also happy that the models for the collection ( thus far) don't look like they are 13 years old- that was a gripe I have about PR's collection... yes, its Grecian inspired, brown, blue and reds but come on.. should a 25 inch waist line fit a size 5 pant? I think not.

Proenza Schouler for Target

Go International has brought the likes of Luella, Tara Jamon, Moschino, Fiorucci and Behnaz Sarafpour to Target , they now have a new designer to collabo with: Proenza Schouler! The collection debuts on Feb 4th and is looks wearable with a resort kick. I'm loving the blues, purples and yellows. I'm tired of wearing the winter darks, tired of the cold weather too. This is definately sunshine through the rain! And not to worry Frenchies- the Proenza collection will be at www.colette.fr ( or at the store in Paris) from Feb 19th- March 5th. And its "moin cher" with the pieces ranging from 10- 108 euro ( For the US the line runs $15- $130 and until May).
Also, Lancome has made an exclusive Proenza schouler Pink for Neimans. If its anything like the Behnaz Red ( which I hear is the perfect blood-orange), you might have to find it on ebay, they only made a limited amount...
Welcome Spring we missed you!
